2010_11_Australia_RV_trip

Hit Road on Tue 28^th September 2010

We got away a 1/2 day late. We ended up sleeping on our thrown out fold up couch in an empty flat on Mon night.
I had to work on Tue/Thur/Fri when I was hoping to bill for all that but only do two 1/2 days - bugger!!!
I had been getting by on 5 hrs sleep for the week, but the last 3 days took the cake. We had 3-4 hrs so called sleep and were zombies by the time we left Sydney!
We hired a 3 ton truck to transport our stuff to Penrith with the help of our best neighbour who happened to be on holiday that day and had a couple of drop-offs along the way.
Karen had sold quite a lot of furniture on gumtree.com.au (similar to your trade-me) which worked really well.
We didn’t get back from that trip until 9pm and then took our neighbour out to a nice restaurant, so even that night was late!
Karen had arranged with the landlord to stay till the next day.

So on Tues we returned the truck and Karen went off and had a wax and returned 1 hour later with me slaving away dumping stuff in the garbage bins and taking the leftovers out onto the street. Hopefully someone will pick them up otherwise the landlord might be passing along the fine!!!
They should go though....
We dumped the fridge out there the prev night and had to rip the doors off to get it out of the courtyard - next morning the fridge was gone! We did a final cleanout and off to Karen’s chiro-quacktor and then up the freeway to Newcastle.

We were in such a rush to pack and then leave we must have dumped some paperwork etc incl the utility bills, but have sorted that out by now. We were really 1 week too late starting to pack!!!!
